Question:
Why do sleep apnea patients have headaches and night sweats?
I have all of the classic symptoms of sleep apnea, including night sweats, headaches, and tiredness in the morning. I don't understand what the significance of the sweating and the headaches are though. Can someone explain? — samuel G. (posted on June 22, 1999)

I have been told the headaches are due to the lack of oxygen
going to your brain at night while you are sleeping. I have
not heard of night sweats being related to sleep apnea.

Oxygen deprivation. My sats were as low as 60%. Not so good when they get
nervous below 95%. AND you literally fight for breath. My mother & I
traveled together and she said I did "swmiming" and grasping
motions. The sheets were a sweaty tangled mess within an hour! Between the
actual REAL struggle for breath and the ABSENT oxygen, we are a MESS!
