Question:
Has anyone have/had complications from the Fobi Pouch procedure?
I am concerned and skeptical of this procedure, and have a friend who is seriously considering having this done. I would also like to hear from those who have the Fobi Pouch for at least 5 years. — Lawrence A. (posted on June 11, 1999)

hello...
i had my fobi pouch a little over a year ago, and i have lost about
144#...i have had 2 complications...#1 major weight loss :-) #2 i
developed a blood clot right after surgery b/c i did not get up and walk
likt the nurses tell you to....this was 100% my fault...other than that it
has been great, not a bed of roses, but i would not trade it for
anything...
take care,
michelle

Dr. Fobi information is on-line at www.onelist.com. If you
want someone that is at least 5 years post-op! And they could
ask that question? I know I'm 1 year post-op, and had Dr. Fobi's
surgery! I had no complications!

My surgery was on July 12, 1999. No complications! Remember to walk,
walk, walk, after surgery to prevent blood clots. Keep in mind, blood
clots are common after any surgery and also from "couch potato"
habits!
