Question:
Does anyone know if BC/BS Montana State Plan has paid.

Have some one who realy needs the surgery but has been told the State of Montana Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plan will not pay. Does anyone know if way around it or if they have paid for others to have surgery.    — john59501 (posted on February 7, 2004)

John, I'm not able to answer your question, however, have you checked out: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/insurers.phtml - this is a great resource on AMOS to steer you toward insurance questions specific to your state. I found it to be extremely helpful when I was going through insurance hell. BTW - don't forget self-pay is always an option if insurance doesn't come through for you. I went out of country for my surgery - and all tolled, surgery, travel expenses, everything - $15,800.
