Question:
Am I eating too much?
I am wondering how much food I should be eating at four months. Breakfast and lunch I have no problems but at supper I might eat more. I can eat 3-4 ounces of meat or cheeses, or cottage cheese plus a small salad and sometimes a bit of potatoe. Is this too much. I am losing good almost 60 pounds in a little less then four months. — Carol H. (posted on September 12, 2003)

Carol - that doesn't sound excessive at all. The amount of food that
people eat post-op is one of the most asked question on this web
site...heck, I asked it myself not too long ago! If you go look in the
library, you will find dozens of people with the same worry, yet if you
look at their profiles, most of the ones who continue to update are at goal
or near it a year or more after asking. When I realized that, it took a
lot of worry off my shoulders. It is difficult when people keep saying
they can only eat a tablespoon of this or that and they are full. I have
not had that happen to me yet (and probably never will), but who knows,
miracles do happen! So enjoy your dinner, sounds pretty healthy to me. :)
