Question:
I keep seeing the crystal light being pushed, is sugar free koolaid allowed?

I have lots of it so I was wondering if this is allowed or is it a no-no?    — Beverly S. (posted on April 1, 2003)

SF koolaid is fine. SF Wylers that comes in a can like the Crystal Light is good too. The Crystal Light offers more flavors so I think thats why its so popular. You could even use regular unsweetened koolaid and add Splenda (or othr SF sweetner)instead of sugar.

I just like the Crystal Light flavors better, but the bottom line is any non-caloric, non-caffeinated beverage is OK.

SF Koolaid is the best ever! It tastes better than regular koolaid. I like grape the best. Extra strong it covers the yucky ketosis taste early on. My favorite beverage.

I really like all the SF drinks, but my absolute favorite is the sugar free Tang it is really good!! I drink it every day. It has alot of vitamin C and other nutrients as well, unlike some of the other sf drinks.

I have to agree with Lisa, sugar free Tang is great! I am sitting here drinking it right now. I also like to take a packet of s/f Kool-Aid lemonade and a container of s/f Tang and mix them together. You get the sweet orangey taste of the Tang with the tartness of the lemonade. My kids really enjoy the s/f grape Kool-Aid as well. I just wish I could fin it in orange (you can probably tell that's my favorite flavor).

Hi Beverly, like most of the posters said, the SF kool-aid sounds fine to me. My surgeon and nutritionist also said diet snapple was ok. There are some diet snapples that are even sweetened with splenda, not sure which ones though. Goodluck to you!
