I HAVE TRICARE STANDARD AND WANT TO HAVE SURGERY IM 5'4 AND WEIGH 260 ,PCOS

Can you have your surgery at the nearest base? I had mine done at a base, and only had to pay $67 for the hospital room/board. I have tricare prime, so we pay for that, but that doesn't matter if you go on base. Our kids are on standard, and we pay 20% after we meet the deductible. You can try looking it up on the tricare website. Hope that helps a little. :)

Call your Tricare Office and ask them. I have Tricare Prime, but Tricare is the one who has approve your surgery so call them and ask alot of questions, there probley is one or maybe two surgeons in your area that does gastric bypass. From what I have heard both on this site and other places, all elective surgeries have been cancelled on military bases, because we are sending our doctors into to war zones, hope this helps.
