Question:
How long is the surgery?

It depends on whether it is open or lap. My open took about 2 hours. I've
heard lap takes a little longer. It also varies based on the person and
surgeon. But, that's a general idea on the length.

My open RNY took 45 minutes. That's how long my surgeon, Dr. Anez, usually
takes. I am 5'4" and was 226 pounds. Beth, open rny 1/15/03, -14.
