Question:
Please explain pre-op procedures
I am a nervous wreck! I have pre-ops on 11-26-2002 and I don't know what to expect and what I will be doing. The nurse said to be prepared to stay for about 3 to 4 hours. Help! What exactly will they be doing to me? — Lisa B. A. (posted on November 21, 2002)

Nothing to worry about. The pre-op testing is the usual blood, EKG and
chest x-ray. In addition they draw blood. I had to go back for the blood
within 7 days of the surgery. You should expect to be at the hospital for
about two hours because different technicians do different tests. No big
deal. 6 and a half weeks out and down 42 lbs. Good luck to you.

My pre-ops are on my profile, also. But they are no big deal. You spend
most of your time waiting for the technicians to get to you...lol.
