Question:
Any Ideas?
4 days and a wake-up! I have been thru the "eat everything" phase, the "please don't let me die" phase and I am now in the "thats Ms. Bitch to you" phase. Every one and everything is on my last nerve. It may have to do with the only one cup of coffee and 5 cigarette thing. Any ideas besides Valium?? — ladirhiannon (posted on October 23, 2002)

Breathe....breathe.......... Being 3 weeks out I have to agree with the
last post...just YOU WAIT! :-) Enjoy your last few days on "that"
side...and be good to yourself. You should celebrate your soon-to-be new
beginning...oh, and maybe you should start/keep walking...to get yourself
ready (helps relieve some stress too!). All the best to you and we'll see
you on the other side.....!

your post was the first things in DAYS that made me laugh. I am three
months post op and am suddenly having complications. trip to the er; five
days in the hospital; and now my closest companion is a drainage bag. I
went from being elated to be home to .....we.....that's Ms. Bitch to you.
even my cats are hiding. I HATE everything; snap at anything and could
chew rusty nails. I am scaring everyone; but you made me laugh ;))). i
feel your edgeness and that is enough. No cure to recommend it is just
nice to know I am not alone. Hopefully this too shall pass.....

Deanna, you only THINK that your on a roll now, just wait till you get to
the other side....LOL I had no preop crabbiness, I was too scared I guess,
but afterwards...OH MY GOD! My DH and kids were ready to ship me to the
moon and they weren't sure that the moon would even take me :)
Maybe if you sat down and wrote out some "Just in case"
letters" it would help calm your nerves some,I cried like a baby doing
it so maybe you'll release some of your stress. Good luck and I wish you
the best with your surgery next week.

Oh, lord, Deanna..your family better run and hide now! Post-op, when the
weight loss starts and the hormones start flowing, and they flow big time,
your emotions will be raised even higher..hang in there. Try yoga...it
really does help with exercise, stretching, breathing and relaxation.
also, if you drive, try books on tape. You can get them from the library.
I used to be an aggressive driver until I started the books on tape. Now,
I park myself in the slow lane and get into a good book. Less stress.
