I would really appreciate your help on this.... Someone noted an item to help with wiping after a BM....A stick like object that you wrapped TP around.... Thanks alot! Donna — Donna S. (posted on June 26, 2002)

Hi, my surgery is next Wednesday, July 3rd. I have my extra long-handled
wooden spoon and some Cottonelle moistened, flushable wipes already
purchased from Wal-Mart. I'm hoping it does the trick cause my man says he
doesn't love me enough to wipe my bum!!! Whaaaaaaa!!! Good Luck - Anna

I agree w/Anna - just be sure and look for the flushable kind. After
surgery, it was the one time in my adult life that I had to allow myself to
get a bit of help in wiping...I hated it. I had sterile gloves by the john
though because I knew I couldn't turn - the liquid & soft diets didn't
produce anything too horribly nasty but still - it's the whole thought of
it and I wasn't thrilled with it. I tried the tongs thing with wipes
wrapped around it but to be quite honest, it was just as difficult as
before I went into to surgery - I never had the easiest time with cleaning
and I hated that. Only 3 months out though and I can honestly say since
about 1 month out, life is MUCH better and a lot easier - I'm reaching
places I didn't even know were there. :) Good luck to you, Donna !!
