Well Michael, NY is a large place, but I live just outside Manhattan, and
I've met or e-mailed people who just rave about Dr. Goodman in NYC. He has
a partner too, who works out of Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ,
which is just below the New York State border. Sorry, I can't think of his
name just now, but if you called the hospital, I'm sure they would tell
you.

My surgeon is Dr. Elmer Valin in New Haven CT. He is excellent. I am five
weeks out and feel completely normal. Depending on where you live in NY it
may not be too far.

Mike-
I just had a LAP RNY done by Dr. Barry Inabnet at Mount Sinai in Manhattan.
He is very well respected and did a great job on me. I highly recommend
him. His office also took care of all of my insurance paperwork with no
complications. There are a bunch of us on this website that used him and
we are all doing well. Good luck to you!

I just wanted to second the opinion of Dr Elmer Valin in New Haven, Ct.
He's with St. Rapheals Hospital. I'm 3 months post-op and Have had a
picture perfect surgery with no problems. Down 72lbs.

An earlier poster mentioned the Mt. Sinai group. I'd like to second that
opinion. The doctors there are the greatest. I had a Lap BPD/DS 10/01 with
Dr. A. Pomp. I've lost 94 lbs in the past 8 months and feel fantastic. Feel
free to email if you need more info.
