Question:
AETNA has been milling over approval for about 2 weeks.
Now they want PROOF of two weight loss attempts over two individual three month periods! I have sent in my medical records that document ALL my weight loss attempts over the past 25 years, but that isn't good enough! Now I have to get documentation from my dietician that she 'put me on a diet' and the same documentation from my surgeon stating that I have been on her diet for 4 months! I also need to resubmit proof that I was on XENICAL and it didn't work! What a rat race! How common is this? I don't know what else they want from me--they have proof of multiple diets!?!?!? — jenn2002 (posted on February 1, 2002)

I was denied by Aetna because I did not send in my records from weight loss
attempts. Once they received the information I was approved. I would just
submit the information they are asking for and you should be approved
quickly.
