Question:
I'm 11 weeks post-op and still have no feeling of hunger. Is this normal ?? I know I
I have read where some people ate a lot of food(1 to 1 1/2 cup) at the same post-op stage. I eat about 4 bites and feel bloated. I couldn't imagine eating till I was so full, for me it's painful to over eat more than the 4 bites. — Connie Z. (posted on December 27, 2001)

I feel your pain. I am the same exact way. I have no feelings of hunger,
cannot tolerate more than a few bites of food, and unfortunately I get sick
if I try more than a few bites. Everything sits like a rock in my tummy.
Cannot wait to see what others say!

Yeah that\'s normal. I didn\'t feel really feel hunger til about 13-15
weeks. The bloated thing though probably has to do with what and how
you\'re eating. I never throw up and as a result can eat regular sized
bites and do regular chewing. But if I do, I get fuller a lot quicker on a
lot less food. Which bites (pun intended) if you are eating something that
really tastes good :-). So I try to slow it down and chew more in order to
get more. Good luck and God Bless!

That lasted for me until about 5 and a half months post-op. I know it
seems weird at the time...that you're eating so much less than everyone
around you. But enjoy it while it's happening. It doesn't appear to last
forever. This last month I feel like a pig (no matter what the reality!)
and I keep thinking "Am I eating too much now?" So don't
worry...this is normal and I think everyone grows out of it at different
times. Best of luck. :)

I am 11 weeks post op also.
I've never really felt hunger. Perhaps a vague sort of feeling
that I might be hungry? I've never felt full either.
But then, I seldom felt hungry prior to this operation and I
only felt full when I ate a lot at one time. I'm just
following my surgeon's instructions regarding volume and
timing. I don't feel like testing yet!
