Question:
I need a new PCP in FL

help me, my PCP flaked on me today. his nurse has been working her behind off getting everything coordinated and the last thing was for him to send a short note and he rufuses to "sign anyting". i am soooo upset i don't know what to do. very emotional righ now.    — Tica G. Hi Tica, we have the same surgeon, I suggest you change PCPs if its possible for you to do this. My PCP not only suggested and supported me throughout the whole pre-op process, but called me several times to check on my progress! His name is Dr. Douglas Walsh Sr., in Ruskin, (its a long drive but worth it) his phone number is 813-645-5167. He is terriffic and thinks very highly of the surgery and its results. Some plans allow you to change PCPs at any time, some do not, check with your insurance and see, God Bless you, Merry Christmas, Love Donna

Well i live in pinellas county about an hour from you maybe a lil more,,,i dont know how far you are willing to travel but my pcp supports the surgery and recomended me for it my first visit with her im almost done with pre op appts and havent had to go back to see her she has called for all my referals etc and alot of the pre op tests you need done are available in the same building for more info email me [email protected] ill give you all the info or as a last resort you could check out the peers page on this website and look who in your area has had the surgery n contact them via email---good luck!!! : )

I don't know where in Florida you are at but I live in S. Florida. My Primary Care Doctor was Dr. J. Roy Duke in West Palm Beach, Florida and my surgeon was Dr. Robert Leim in Lake Worth, Florida. E-mail me if you want phone numbers and addresses at [email protected].
