Can you have WLS after Fundoplication?

Susan, Perhaps you may get a quicker response to you question regarding
"fundoplication" if you briefly explained what type produre this
is. Maybe, it is called something else here in the States. LOL, Olivia

In answer to Olivia's answer a fundoplication is a surgery which wraps the
top part of the stomach around the oesophagus so that you do not get heart
burn. Tyhanks for pointing out Olivia that some people do not know what
fundoplication is :-)

Hi, I had a VBG along with a Nissan fundoplication in 1997. In 2000 I was
revised to an RNY. My doctor about had a fit when he found out from my
operative reports that I had the Nissan. He said it would make the
revision surgery more technically challenging because there would be more
scar tissue to work around. However, I had my revision so yes WLS is
possible after the Nissan procedure. Hope this helps!
