Question:
Has any else out there experienced severe tremors 2 wks or more post op?

I am experience severe tremors throught my body. My hands, legs back and sometime neck shake very badly. These have persisted for 2 days. I have been to the hospital and it seems blood work, blood sugar etc. it all okay. You input asap please!    — Reta D. (posted on September 10, 2001)

Hi Reta - Tremors can come from a lot of different things. I have what I called were twitches....felt like my nerve endings were firing and missing...I was kind of jerky. I thought it was a potassium/calicum deficiency but for me it was not. I was having a reaction to the nausea meds Iwas given....phenegren (spelling). I explained the symptoms to my surgeon (as you should too) and I noticed it that I had epidsodes after I took the meds....he then explained that this particular class of meds sometimes causes parkinsons like symptoms in some people. Please consult your doctor, you want to make sure that it is NOT a deficiency of any form....you DO NOT WANT TO MESS around with a potassium or calcium deficiency AT ALL!! Good Luck, Karan
