Question:
Is there anyone out there that has a MicroPouch ?
and is willing to share their experience with me? I am 14 days post op and felt the micropouch was the best choice for me. However, I don't know when the pouch is full. Also, I wonder about taking medication and absorption. Also, what kind of diet did your Dr. put you on when you came home? The standard one? — Christine H. (posted on August 5, 2001)

I had the micropouch on 2/15/02. I don't know when it is full either so I
rely on measuring most of the time. I know that my pouch is about 4 oz so
don't eat more than that at any given time

I am 4 months post op and down 81 pounds (55 more to go). I have the same
problem- I NEVER know when I am full and am terrified about stretching the
pouch. I just measure everything (usually 1-2 oz. meat for a meal) and make
sure to eat every few hours. I usually eat 5-6 times in a day, making sure
I get my protein shake in. I was on the standard diet when I came home and
made sure to stick with it. I didn't want to hurt my new tummy! :) Stick
with it, the diet gets easier. I was down for a little bit but OH.com
helped as well as family support. And exercise always helps!! Good luck!

I had the Wood-Sapala micro-pouch on July 7,2003. I never am sure when I'm
full either. I tend to eat slowly and wait awhile before I'm sure. My
pouch is not supposed to stretch ever, and is the size of a grape. I had a
problem with the exit port closing off, but after dilating it, I doing much
better now. I came home from the hospital on the cleaar liquids for 2
weeks, then 2 weeks of full liquids, 2 of pureed, (baby food did well). I
was slower getting on solids due to my problem, but was supposed to have
been on things like bean-less chili, and chopped meats after 6 weeks.
