Question:
has anyone here had a leak at the staple line and had another operation to fix it?

i havent lost any weight for months and the upper g.i. shows i have what they call a "small" leak. they want to just leave it like that. i wont lose anymore weight and just live with it like that. they say the operation to fix it is very risky. it seems ridiculous to me to leave it like that after i went through all this for just 60 lbs?????? i think i need a 2nd opinion but no one will touch me with a ten foot pole. i feel really alone on this one. you can email me privately also if this has happened to you. I don't think I'd be comfortable leaving a leak of any kind. That just doesn't sound right. You need to find a doctor that will take patients that need redos. Here in Ohio there is an excellent doctor. Dr. John Maguire in Kettering Ohio. Maybe his office could give the name of someone out there in California. I would definitely go for a second opinion. Maybe contact the University out there?
