Question:
Revision exclusion?
this is excatly how its written treatment for weght loss or for exogenous or morbid obesity, including but not limited to:gastric bypass, gastric stapling or balloon catheterization, liposuction or recostructive surgery; diet, health or exercise programs; health club dues; or weight reduction clinics. BUT i need a revision from surgery i had in 88. it doesn't mention a revision, so how do i go about seeing if its covered? thanks, vicky ' — vicky L. (posted on June 25, 2001)

Hi Vicki, I'm not sure if that extract came from the covered services or
excuded services section of your benefits booklet. If it's an exclusion
then it may be that the revision will also be excluded, but your best bet
is to call the insurance company and find out. Even if wls is a covered
service, the revision might still be excluded. Some policies will cover
surgical treatment for MO but only if the Covered Plan Participant has not
had a similar procedure in their lifetime. Surgical procedures performed to
revise or correct defects related to the bypass may be excluded. Hope this
