Question:
b-12

hi, my surgeon put me on sublingual b-12 1000. i take it once a week, you put it under your tongue and let it disolve. you can buy this at any gnc store. i was told that any other form of b-12 is not absorbed after surgery.    — [Anonymous] (posted on June 23, 2001)

Just wanted to share something that I find interesting... I have been losing hair like crazy for about 3 months now. In february, I started using a chewable B12 supplement. I couldn't find the sublinquials at the time. I really didn't think that I would absorb much of this, due to what I know about B12-that the injections are what we need because we no longer have the intrinsic factor needed to absorb this in our stomachs. Anyway, because of the hair loss, I had extensive labwork done about 3 weeks ago. Everything was perfect except my B12--it was HIGH. I guess I am absorbing the chewable B12 afterall. Go figure.
