It is safe top become pregrant after WLS, though not immediately after.
Most doctors recommend not getting pregnant for 1 1/2 to 2 years after
surgery. To get pregnant earlier than that may lead to complications from
malnutrition.

Hello---- I talked to my doctor about pregnency, and he said 18-24 months,
So you are totaly healed, and you are done or close to done lossing weight,
Because you have to take more iron and more vitamins. People have became
pregnent as they lose weight due to how much your hormones and body is
changing.... So My doctor told me to wait till I was 18-24 post op to
consider having a baby....
GOOD LUCK to you!!!

I have a friend who got pregnant after WLS and she did great. This was her
4th child, but the first pregnancy that she actually got to experience
because with the others she was always so heavy that she couldn't feel
much. And the best part for her was after she had the baby (with only a
15lb. weight gain) she lost all her weight and an additional 10 lbs!
