Medicare Ins. - Anybody from MD approved or denied?

hi...i have medicare...but i am in NY...as i understand it, medicare is federal, so the state shouldn't matter. medicare does not require pre-approval. my surgeon did not get paid...yet. i am 5 weeks post op and their claim was denied, though they did pay for all the office visits. they are not worried. they need to change some codes or something and they will re submit. i was told they do pay, but slowly.

Medicare doesn't need a pre-approval like most of the other insurances. Your Dr. knows the whats&whys of medicare billing. That's one less thing you'll need to stress over!! Medicare has been a salvation for me. By having it, I've been given my life back. Good Luck and God Bless --
