How does Ensure hold up as a post-op nutrition choice??

Not Good. Too much fat and loads of sugar--and only 25% at most of daily
vitamins per can. Try a higher protein drink with less sugar, form the
health food section/store.

Oh, it's awful ... I tried it too and dumped horribly on it ... and it
didn't even taste good!

My surgeon has told me that ater surgery i should stay away from anything
with dairy in it such as Slim Fast etc.....

These types of products are used to put weight ON the chronicall
undernourished, like the elderly or those with chronic illness. I haven't
read a can for awhile, but they have more like 5g of protein to 22g of
sugar, so their only purpose is to add fat. They types of products you want
are more like 30-35g of protein with 0-3g of sugars. Then they HELP you
lose, not stand in the way.
