Question:
What blood work is done before surgery?

I am talking about like liver function tests, BMP's, HIV, Hep B, TB, CA markers, chem 7 and Drug screens. Or is like just the basic thyroid profile?    — Randell O. (posted on January 4, 2001)

My Dr. does routine blood work looking for infection, BMP (please tell me what this test is) and a red blood cell count.
