Greetings Mona,
My surgeon covered this....I havnt had my surgery yet but...heres what he
said.
You will be able to climb stairs but limit it to 3 times a day if possible.
When climbing the stairs, use the one foot up and bring the other to the
same step routine. Go slow and move deliberately. If you feel a need to
rest sit down on the stairs or lean on the railing or wall...IF you are on
pain meds or feel dizzy or lightheaded, be extremely careful and climb them
only when absolutely necessary.
Thats what he said...LOL
Be Well and have a wonderful holiday!!

Hi Mona,
I had my surgery on 2/28/2000. I too live on the second floor
when I got home from the hospital I just took one step at a time
Anytime I went down or up the stairs I jsut took my time,
once 3-4 weeks goes by it no problem at all. Best of Luck to you
