Question:
Stomach sore. I am about 16 days post op and my stomach is still really sore on the inside, .

How long does it take for the stomach to feel normal again? I am eating some soft meats now, with no problems, But the belly area is still sore. Is this OK?    — peaceangel58 (posted on November 12, 2000)

It is normal to have some stomach tenderness and soreness, especially at only 16 days post op. I am app. 3 months and I still have occasional days when I am sore in that area. It will take awhile to heal on the inside, not only can you expect soreness on the inside but my scar is very tender in certain places so I have to be careful. Unless you are experiencing extreme pain that just doesn't seem right to you, I would just give it more time.
