Toni, I am still pre-op so I am not as informed as most. However, at the
consultation with my surgeon, I remember him saying they do a leak test in
the operating room following the surgery (before you are closed). And
obviously you wouldn't know that it had been done.I am not sure if this is
the same test that others refer to, but my surgeon apparently thinks this
is sufficient.Shelley

As far as I know, I never had a leak test either - unless it was done while
I was out like the previous person suggested. Doing great, 7+ months out
RNY.

Hi Toni...They did a leak test on us the third day in the hospital. I had
to drink some stuff and then they took an xray. Sounds like they are done
at different stages depending on where you had surgery done. A quick phone
call to your surgeons office could ease your mind. Call and ask them.
Good luck, Cindy

If they did a leak test on me, it must have been while I was still
unconscious, cuz I don't remember anything like what was described. I'm
doing great, 130# lost in about 7 months!
