Question:
Ok, Ok, my Nurse Case Manager just called again!!!

And she was very nice. She asked me all kinds of questions again and told me that she works for ME. She will work with me in any way she can to get me approved. Then she asked me to tell her about my diets and how they worked, yadda, yadda, yadda. Then, get this, she said,"You're really ready for this, aren't you?" I said, "God, yes...I refuse to diet anymore. I had given up hope. I thought I was a failure." And she said,"No, you're not a failure...the diet industry is." Can you guys believe this?! I thought she would try to PREVENT me having surgery, but she's all for it. She gets as much evidence as possible from my Dr's and then presents it to the person who decides yes or no. She said I should have an answer by the end of this week or early next week at the latest as long as my Dr's respond quickly. Wow! I kinda feel weird. Keri, it sounds like you have an insurance company that actually understand the difference between morbid obesity and obesity. They seem to be asking the right questions with a focus to medical treatment. I think the signs are good that you are getting serious consideration. That is always a good sign.

Keri, it is great when an ins. company worker does more than expected for us. I too was lucky to have a person working for me not against to get approval moving. With a little (really little) prodding the job was done in less than four days.. Enjoy the fact that you are not needing to bust a vessel every time you talk to them. I hope you get the approval.. and may it be soon.
