Question:
I am not losing weight. back and forth with the same 5lbs.
I had lap rny 4- 14-00.I lost about 25 lbs right after surgery, then my weight loss stopped, when I started to eat solid food. My metab . slows to equal my intake. Im eating very little but am not losing weight. what gives? I dont know if I need a revision in my surgery, or if I need to exercise and diet for the rest of my life. So why did I have surgery? I feel quite bitter right now. Any encouragement would be welcomed.Sherry — Sherry H. (posted on September 16, 2000)

I had surgery on 4/4/00 and today is 9/16/00 I have lost a total of 85
pounds. If you are not eating and drinking your water that could be your
porblem. I found that when I eat less and don't get my water in I stall
with the weight loss. You did not say how often you are exercising. Are
you getting in your protein. As many have said before me you must get in
the exercise, water and protein. I have found that when I faithfully
adhere to my program I lose and average of 2 or 2 1/2 pounds. Good Luck
and don't give up. I think it's a little early to think about a revision.
You just need to increase what your eating, drinking and exercising.

It is possible that the procedure you have isn't the right one for you, but
it's kinda early to tell. Run through the checklist started by Ann...
60g+ of protein supplement, no milk, no sugar, 64 oz of water, no grazing,
no drinking with meals, some movement, anyway, even if you an't do formal
exercise. All of those fit OK?
