Question:
Can anyone explain what a hiatal hernia is?

I was told I have a (forgive the spelling) Hyatel Hernia and not to worry, it's just good to know where it is. I've heard of some people having them repaired. I'm curious as to what they do to repair it.    — Dawn E. (posted on September 1, 2000)

I second that Ava. I had severe pain associated with my hiatal hernia. Quite a few people have this but usually feel better just curing the acid reflux. I had mine repaired when I had WLS and feel much better. Maybe just for the simple fact that I am eating less.
