Question:
Has anyone had breast reduction along with weight loss surgery?

Please don't take this wrong......But I hope you are kidding! I have lost
106 pounds since my surgery in August. And along with my weight loss, I
have also lost MOST of my breasts. I have gone from a 44 full C cup to a
38 barely in there C cup. I am going to buy a new bra this weekend and I
just know that I will have to buy a 38B. My husband keeps asking me if I
want to get a Boob Job....because he wants me to. Since I have hardly
anything left. But I had to go through WLS RNY twice last summer (the
surgeon did not attach the intestine completely to the small stomach), so
my answer to my husband is NO...NO MORE SURGERIES. Plus, my neighbor just
had to have one of her breast implants replaced two weeks ago, due to a
leak. So...I guess I will have to live with these small ones. So if you
have them KEEP what you got, because once the weight starts coming
off...you will more than likely lose some of your breast size also.

Hi, I have not had surgery yet, but anticipating to. My pcp suggested
breast reduction for me also. We have decided it will be best if I wait
until the majority of my weight is lost before having breast reduction,
therefore not having any of the "sagging" from major weight
reduction.

hmmmmmm...breast reduction surgery? hmmmmmm....well, I also agree with theh
last person who said she lost so much in the breasts. I lost 165 pounds
and many of those obviously were in the breasts. I went from a 44D to a 36
barely B. Surely I would wait until all the weight is lost because at this
point, I would need breast enlargement (or at least breat fill in) not
reduction. Like someone once said on here, and I had to laugh but
sympathize fully, my breasts are like two tube socks with tennis balls on
the ends of them. There is no fat there anymore. Please wait till you
have lost the weight to do anything, as at that time you will have a better
picture of what you need.

I was a 32D cup in high school before I was overweight. Now, at 175 lbs
overweight, I wear a 48 HH cup bra. When I had a consult with a plastic
surgeon for breast reduction, there was no question about my being large
enough to qualify for med ins to pay for the breast reduction surgery but
the plastic surgeon wisely advised me that if I am ever going to lose
weight, I should do that first. If I planned to stay the same weight, he
would go ahead and do the surgery. The reason was that the shape of the
breast changes quite noticably if surgically altered at one weight &
then we lose a significant amount of weight.
