Question:
Is documented wl important
I do not have any documentation on my many diets. Being military and moving plus going to self pay Drs. I did not keep records. Will this hurt my chances for approval? Belinda — Belinda W. (posted on June 9, 2000)

Documenting weight loss is very important, but I was in the same position
as you. I couldn't pinpoint specific weight ups and downs. So I kept mine
somewhat general. I never heard that it was inadequate, so I guess it
never posed a problem.

Belinda
I had VGB surgery 5 years ago.
My husband is retired navy.
At the time we were still CHAMPUS.
26 years of moving around, San Fancisco Bay area, Florida, Virginia, Subic
Bay Phillipines, Charleston S.C., Naples Italy and back to Virginia, then
our final move to the Washington D.C. area.
Try keeping documentation for all those moves. I saw my surgon, went to my
primary care doctor, got his approval, then put is a request for the
surgery. It was approved with in a week of submission. Got all my test
done and had the surgery. All in less than 4 to 6 weeks.
Go for it girl, The worst they could say is no, and you could and should
appeal.
Let me know how you are doing. I will be praying for you and your
success.

I am a retired military spouse, I had the same problem, my doctor provided
a paper for me to post my attempts at weight loss, i just basically wrote
down dates, place, and if it was with a doctor or a weight loss clinic or
on my own. I never had a problem had mine at a civilian hospital. Was a
provide with one phone call once the papers were faxed in to Tricare.
