Question:
Michigan insured, will now be covered by HAP, what are my chances?

Begining Jan. 2000, my company will change insurance carriers. I loose Aetna and will have the opportunity to go with HAP or Blue care Network of Michigan. Which is my best bet??? I need to know immediately, must make my choice of insurance carriers by 11/30/99. Please help. All input will be appreciated!    — l M. (posted on November 8, 1999)

I have HAP now and am switching to Aetna POS. My primary doctor would give the referral but could not find a bariatric doctor who was "in network." I called Bariatric Treatment Centers and they adviced me to switch to Aetna POS. Now I am waiting for January to get here, which is when Aetna goes into affect.
