Question:
ANyone had AETNA through UPS and got approved?

Hubby works parttime for UPS. They pay premium for insurance. Has been 10 weeks and my letter is still under medical observation or something. I have Aetna PPO & they approved me. They submit the claim on Sept. 13,1999 & they approved it on Sept. 27 1999. I don't know if I can help you but I just kept calling every two days. This is Kelly again...the original poster. Called today. My letter was sent to the medical review board Oct. 4th. The lady i spoke to said it would take 30 days and I would have an answer! I'm so excited! Thanks... Kelly Wilson

I have Aetna ppo and initial request for WLS sent in 10/7/03. Just got denial (heard they always deny 1st time) on 11/12/03. I'll be appealing. I had everything in order and sent in 10 yr medical history, and 3 month diet history***new guidelines can send in to request for approval at 3 months as long as surgery not scheduled till 6 month diet up***. They then wanted additional diet history, so 10/28/03 sent in the 5 month diet history, and they still denied. I don't think Aetna in Ky is on the same page as far as these new guidelines. Hope this makes sense.
