Question:
I would like to hear from anyone who has had a RNY in the past that has failed.

I had a RNY in 89, I lost all my weight and kept it off for a while. But slowly i gained it all back. Its 99 I loved it when i was thin. But i had hypoglycemia, out of control and had a thyroid disease, Hashimotos tyroiditus, multi nodular goiter and hypothyroidism. It wasn't discovered till after surgery. I think everyone getting the surgery should be seen by an endocrinologist first. So to make sure there are no endocrine problems. Also, had hysterectomy, without being put on estrogin, and was severly depressed.So make sure you get thouroughly checked out before surgery.
