even though i did not have my surgery done by dr choban i've heard nothing
but good things about her. how well she understands her patients. and how
she takes the time to answer any questions and fears that they may have. my
surgery(vgb)was done by dr marco bonta at grant/riverside(riverside
methodist) hospital. he does do both type even though he did do the job his
vacation started after my surgery (oh well he's only human) i did see his
partner every day. i can tell you that dr bonta is an assistant professor
of surgery at osu and is head of the trauma department at grant/riverside.
i hope that this helps and good luck:)

I have an appointment with Dr. Melvin at OSU Hospital on August 13th. I am
hoping to have an RNY done laproscopically and he is the only one that has
experience with it in this area. I have been very impressed with OSU's
comprehensive approach to WLS, the support group and nutritionist have been
very helpful. Good Luck!
