Question:
Can I still have surgery even if I already had a hernia repair and now have the mesh

Depends on what kind of hernia. Wouldn't seem like low hernias like inguinal, would be a problem. My incisions are all high (surrounding the stomach).

I had the lap RNY on March 29, 1999 after umbilical surgery in 1994. Dr Schauer actually fiex it again as it opened again about 2 weeks after the first surgery. My recovery was easy and quick!
