Question:
I am 10 months post op, down 90 pounds
I just wondered if my weight loss is good at this point. I have lost 91 lbs. I exercise 4 x a week . low impact aerobics, abs and legs work. I have read so many other post that show much more weight loss than mine at 10 months. I eat right. get all my protein in and never eat anything that would be considered bad. no sweets, sodas, bread, pasta. I know 91 lbs is onderful but just wnated to know if I should have lost more by now. I started at 286, so I am happy with my weight loss. i guess I just feel like I am not doing something right when I see all the other post and pics . thanks for any advise. melinda — taterbug898 (posted on October 3, 2005)

Melinda,
Honey you are doing wonderful!
Keep up the great work:)
Everyone is different, some lose fast and stop, others keep losing and
losing. Follow the pouch rules and all will be well:)

I would say you are doing great. It took me 12 months to lose the first
110 lbs. and then another 12 months to lose the next 58 lbs. I am still
working on the last 20 lbs. at 3 years postop. I started out at 378 lbs.
the day of my surgery. Keep up the good habits and try not to compare
yourself to others.

Melinda, everyone is different. I, too, feel like I am not losing enough
when I see what some other people have lost, but my doctor assures me that
I am on track. It may even be better to lose more slowly! Keep up the
good work!
