Question:
Has anyone experience blurred vision or feeling as if in a fog after 1 week post op?
My vision seems like there is a haze over my eyes(I have perfect vision normally). I feel as if I am in a fog. I have not taken any pain medication for 4 days. — Kay W. (posted on January 22, 2005)

Hi Kay, You may want to contact your Dr. Sometimes it takes a while for the
anesthesia to work it's way out of your system, this could cause it. There
may be othr factors as well. Best Wishes, Maggie B. 4/03 283/168

Hello Kay, I had surgery Jan. 17 and I am experiencing the exact same thing
this morning. I also feel like I am in a fog, my husband even said I look
funny. I have felt well up until this morning and I am just worn out. Let
me know if you find out anything.

Make sure you are drinking enough water and get some salt in as both can
make you feel foggy. Best of luck!

Hi Kay, Yes I did have that hazy unbalanced feeling after surgery - I would
always say check with your doctor, but the surgery with the dramatic weight
lose (even if it does not show up on your scale) causing people with
surgery to lose their equilibrium (sp?) temporarily at times. Just make
sure you remain seated or not travel alone at least for the first month.
