Question:
Updating my profile lost a year:( What should I do?
have done this (erased profile for a long period of time) and what did you do. I couldn't find anything in the library like this question. I last updated in July 04, and must have accidently erased the whole last yr (since Aug 03). This has happened twice before, but never for this long a time period. Should I try to find my last copy at home (I have been really busy and this could take awhile) or should I just start from here. I had all of my weight loss amts and when, and just this much info wouldn't be hard to find and put on again. Should I just add my weight loss amts and then go from here or what??? (I know things don't always come out right in the written word. I am not being judgemental or blaming anyone.) I had my surgery on 1/30/04, and have updated quite often in this time period. I feel awful that I didn't know how to save my profile and now this has happened. Any info/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also if this happened to you, what did you end up doing? I don't know of anything you could do to find the old profile, but I
thought I would post a piece of advice for anyone who is doing their own
updates. I type all entries into a Word document that I copy and paste to
the profile page - that way I always have the original copy and can go back
and recreate if I need to (if you go to the profile page, you can select
your entire profile and copy it to the document to start and then make
additions from there). There's so much work in the profiles and so much
valuable information, it's a shame to lose it. Good luck (hope someone
else can help with recovering your information)!

Whenever I update my profile before I save it I click the button that will
e-mail me a copy of the updated profile. Then I keep the e-mail and copy
and paste it to a wordpad file too. This way if my computer is ruined I
still have the e-mail. They send the entire profile to the email so I
delete my previous one and only save the latest one.

I did the same thing!!!!!! I also couldn't find anything in the library so
I just started over. It was a pain in the neck and not as complete as the
original...I had the dates and weight, but I had done the original as I
went along and had to re-do it almost 2 years later!
Sorry I can't be or more help! Good luck!
Keep up the great work...it is worth it all!
