What did the ER say? Sounds like it could be a heart attack. I would be
freaking out! Hope you are ok.

A few things come to mind, but when were your last labs? Does this happen
every time you stand up, or just sporadically? If sporadically, it's very
possible it's reactive hypoglycemia. Also, how are your B levels,
specifically B-12? Of course, check with your doctor, but try eating
something (protein) every couple of hours, and it's a good idea to carry
peanut butter crackers with you at all times, and eat a couple if you feel
the light-headedness coming on. This should help keep your blood sugar
stable. Again, my guess is it's reactive hypoglycemia, but I'm not a
doctor, so check with yours.

There are so many things that could cause a reaction such as you're
describing and I'm sure your Dr would need to run a few tests to make a
specific diagnosis. However, it sounds to me, keeping in mind that I am
not a Dr, that it could be a drop in either your blood sugar or blood
pressure. Request that your Dr run a blood glucose, A1C and maybe invest
in a blood pressure monitor for home so you can check that periodically
yourself. Also, carry a piece of candy (such as a Jolly Rancher) in your
purse with you at all times and if this should happen again see if it
helps. Good Luck and Take Good Care!

This happened to me also. I ended up having low hemoglobin levels. They are
supposed to be around 13 and mine went down to 5. You should really be
tested. It is very dangerous if it is your hemoglobin. Good luck and my
prayers are with you.

As previously stated, only your lab results will really show, but I had a
lot of the same symptoms you're describing when my potassium bottomed out.
After a week on potassium supplements, I was good to go.
Please keep us informed and let us know what you find out-

Ok, I have a co-worker who hasn't had the surgery but had some of the same
symptons but complete hearing loss and when she would stand she would get
sick etc. She was advised by her prim dr that her equilibrium was off. She
went to a specialist (after being hospitalized from fainting) and he
advised her that she had a food allergy. It was strange when she was
telling me but 9months after eliminating that food she is better and
doesn't have that many problems. This may not be your case but just thought
I would share that with you. Good Luck!

Venessa:
It doesn't sound like anything from the surgery unless you are not eating!
It does, however, sound like an anxiety attack to me. I have had many.
You really do need to check with your PCP, though! Good luck!
