Question:
I am 11 weeks postop looking for support group Corpus Christi TX area

I am in the Corpus Christi TX area (Portland). I am 11 weeks post op and have lost 63 lbs. And am looking for a support group to join or people that have went through WLS for support. I barely know anyone in the area and since my husband and I are military I have no family in the area. A support group is exactly what I need. I answered you on the forum, but wanted to make sure you got the information. There are 2 support groups in CC, TX and we would love to have you come to ours. Unfortunately, you just missed our monthly meeting it was this last Tuesday the 29th. We have a meeting at Driscoll Children's Hospital the last Tuesday of every month on the fourth floor at 6:30 p.m. and we would welcome you and your spouse if he wants to come. There is also a meeting at Bay Area Hospital the 3rd Sunday of every month I think from 3 - 5:00 p.m. I have not been to that meeting because Sunday's don't seem to be good days for me to go, but I'm sure they would be glad for you to come too! Our group keeps talking about having an extra get together besides the once a month thing and I'm going to try to get something going here after the holiday. Hi Emily! Welcome to the Coastal Bend! I have found the OSSG Yahoo Corpus group to be very beneficial and they are a great bunch of people. If you'd like, I'll email you the link to join the support group so you can be included in all the email correspondence. They meet every month in Corpus at Bay Area.
