Question:
Has anyone found a hernia after they found out they were pregnant?

I am 11 months post op and 3 months pregnant. I just found a small hernia on my incision that is the size of the tip of a finger. I have called the surgeon and have an appointment for him to look at it. Are they able to fix it now or or do I have to wait?    — tpalmer (posted on March 25, 2004)

They can fix it while you're pregnant (or so I was told my son is now 4 months old and I still have not had it fixed)... anyway they think I shouldn't have surgery to fix the hernia since it's not so bad... if it is really bothering you or interupting the bowel then by all means something must be done... but just to let you know I just had my baby and it all turned out okay... they did keep a close watch on it, and I had extra care and extra visits...
