No. too much sugar, not enough protien. I do regular protein shakes, such
as designer whey if I have the need for a shake type thing.

I drank a Slim Fast, right after surgery and couldn't handle it. I tried
it again and it's OK. I don't know if it is the best thing for me, but I
had so many left, from before surgery, that I have to try to finish them.

The regular Slim Fast has too much sugar for us, but the new low-carb has
only 2 gr sugar, I think. A little high in fat, but I think they're an okay
drink-on-the-run. And you don't have to make a special trip to a
she-she-poo-poo health food store to get 'em either!

I have some Slim Fast powder - lactose free. It's got lower sugars, a
decent amount of protein, and is just okay tasting. The thing is, I used
to eat a snack pack of cheddar cheese cubes (they have 10 in a pack) every
morning for breakfast, and thought I would try to get even more protein in
the morning so got the Slim Fast. The week I used the Slim Fast, I gained
a pound and a half. I went back to eating my boring cheese, and the next
week lost 5.5 pounds...I don't know if it was a coincidence, but I'm
sticking with my cheese. Good luck! Open RNY 03-20-03 326/210/165
