Question:
Large stoma

I just wanted to post that there is now 'hope' for those of us suffering from stoma failure. I had my RNY 11/2000 ... I now have 'food' limitations, for the first time since surgery. My surgeon purformed an 'open' lap band (could not do it lap because of adhesions from the RNY). The lap band has been 'filled' and I now have food limations. SO, if you are one of those 'rare' people that have had the RNY and your surgeon so far has refused to 'fix'; look into having the lap band put on..... It seems to be working just find.    — star . Helen - I am glad to hear that things are working out for you and that the lap band in combination with the previous RNY seems to be doing the trick. I know that you've been through a lot with this and you are to be commended for your perserverance (sp?)...JR (open RNY 07/17/02 -204# since surgery, -217# total, 10# til goal!!!)
