If you ask, people will volunteer to be your angel, but YOU get to choose
the person who best suits your needs. My angel lives quite some distance
from me, but I wouldn't replace her with anyone closer; she was and is a
perfect match for me!
All that having been said, I'd be honored to be your angel. We do have some
basic things in common: I also live in California. Additionally, I'm almost
the same height as you (5'2) and underwent wls at the same beginning weight
as you are now(211.5).
My surgery was 9/4/03 and as of today, I've lost 50.5 post-op pounds.
(Happy New Year to me!) If you want to know more, you can find my profile
under Biking One or you can email me.
My best wishes to you, whatever you decide....

Oh! I forgot to answer your other question. LOL means "Lots of
Laughs." Kinda like winking after you say something you want someone
to take in good spirits. As I see it, the whole weight loss surgery
experience should bring LOL.

Terri,
you can go in and pick teh state you live in and see if there are other
people who live near you. And just e-mail people or go in the chat room and
see if there is anyone in there That lives close. If not you can find a
distant one but the closer ones are nice. If you deside to do a distnat one
i would be interested in keeping in touch with your friends and the chat
for you and calling helping you in any way i can! [email protected]
