Question:
Long term post op life is so busy.
We are so busy. In the last couple weeks support group dinners, work parties, some volunteere help with a inner city puppet group, helping a old friend who had WLS yesterday, we took her on a last supper the other night. Havent got our christmas decorations up its so busy. Some of this I wouldnt be doing if I hadnt lost the weight, since it was too physical and pre op even the non physicakl stuff woul;d of tired me out. Yesterday I was at the hospital from 8 am till midnite. Its hard balancing our lives. Others have these issues? BTW my friend Gabby did fine and is now a postie! — bob-haller (posted on December 16, 2003)

Bob, thanks for the update on Gabby. That's great news and hope she does
well. You're right, it's hard balancing our lives.

I'm not quite at that point yet, Bob, as I'm only 3 month post-op. But
life is changing, I'm loving losing, and am looking forward to a healthier
and happier life as a post-op. Thanks for being on this site, and for
everything that you do for folks. Congrats to you and Jen on your success!

yes! I'm not sure if its a blessing or a curse...I used to have to nap on
the weekends to stay up past midnight... I was marveling this past weekend
-- up at 6am on Sat and even though i tried tonap, I couldn't.. stayed out
till 3;30am.. up at 7:30 the next day and hardly worse for the wear. Busy
busy... my stamina is amazing. so, is it a blessing or a curse? I
sometimes feel way overextended!

yes! Isnt life grand! When I quit smoking in 1988 I realized how much time
I had spent smoking away. Now I have my mind on so many more things than
what my next food binge might be.

Worn out and way behind. I'm still getting in the exercise. All I really
want for Christmas is about 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Glad your
friend is doing well. Take care and remember to wash your hands a lot and
take a little extra Vitamin C.
