I use whey protein supplement made with water. I do 6+ drinks of 30g each
(180g). However, I am very distal, so that is more than the general public
(of us) would need unless they were working up for other surgeries or
needing to lose more wt.

I will second the whey shakes. I have been able to maintain 80-100 grams
per day easily this way. You might also want to consider seeing a
nutritionist because you have such special circumstances. I would imagine
it would be much more difficult post op as a vegetarian. I spent the better
part of my life as a vegetarian and cannot imagine post op life without
meat. Do you do dairy or eggs? I eat a lot of dairy now and it has been
very helpful.

There are quite a few soy shakes out there, and you can have tofu, nuts
have protein too. I eat boiled endame (soy beans) as a snack (they have
them at Trader Joe's and at a lot of stores now).
