I was told by my surgeon that I could sleep in ANY position (including
standing on my head haha) so long as it was comfortable and created NO
pain. How does it feel when you try? Took me about 2 1/2 weeks to sleep
on my side. I sure missed that!

I was sleeping on my side with a pillow propped to support my tummy once I
was in my own bed, about 4 days post-op. I was sleeping on my tummy a
couple nights later, thank GOODNESS. Sleeping on my back was miserable.

Aftre 5-6 days I could sleep on my side, then I slowly progressed to my
stomach. I agree with the other posts, if it hurts, don't do it. I tried
after 3 days and decided real quick I should wait. You also have to
remember that once you are on your stomach and you're ready to get up, that
will be pulling on the incisions. So you may need some help by having
someone pull you up. Good luck!

My wife Jen slept on her belly from the first day she got home, crawled
into bed on all fours. Dont know how she managed that. Surgeon said it was
OK. She was LAP. Opens need to use care about hernias, always best to ask
surgeon.

You can sleep on your stomach as early as it feels comfortable, unless your
Dr. has specified otherwise.

I'm two weeks post op today and I've been sleeping on my stomach for
several nights now with no problem. I'd say as long as you weren't given
instructions NOT to sleep on your stomach that you'd be okay to do so as
soon as you're comfortable with it.
