Question:
10 months post-op, and bowel movements seem to be causing a stinging rash
For the past week and a half or so, there seems to be something in my bowel movements that is causing a "burn" on my hiney. Like there is battery acid in it! Yes, I am wiping well, but about an hour after I go, I am stinging and hurting, and have to hop in the bathtub. How weird is this? I hate to ask such a goofy question, but I'm getting fed up with it. Anyone else have this happen? My hiney is getting very sore! — raye (posted on November 18, 2003)

THE SURGERY CAUSES SOME OF THE FOOD WE EAT TO GO THROUGH UNDIGESTED,SOME OF
THE STOMACH ACID COULD BE CAUSEING THE BURN. TRY UNSCENTED BABY WIPES OR
TUCKS .I HAVE IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME AND THE SAMe THING HAPPENS

I'm not sure about this Raye, but have you had any problems with yeast
infections? When we have an overgrowth of yeast, it can affect the bowels
as well. I've had a few times when I've gotten very itchy and had redness
on the bottom. I'm prone to yeast infections, so when I researched this,
that's how I found out about it affecting the bowels as well.
